Urbanisation Valtocado -Mijas
Mijas is a town and municipality in the province of Malaga, in Andalusia, southern Spain. It is a typically Andalusian white-washed village located at a mountain side about 450 m above mean sea level, in the heart of the Costa del Sol region. There are local history museums and many souvenir shops, Mijas also has seven golf courses. The village is situated seven kilometres from the Mediterranean midway between Malaga city and Marbella. The coastal motorway runs three kilometres from the village allowing easy access to Malaga airport within twenty-five minutes. The backdrop to the village are the Sierra de Mijas mountain range with the village overlooking the sea to the south giving views over to the North coast of Africa and on a clear day as far as Gibraltar.
